New Balance Announces Sneaker Collaboration With Portland-Based Rapper Aminé
Portland-based rapper Animé is receiving a well-deserved sneaker collaboration with New Balance. The rapper has been an ambassador for the brand since 2022 and will now bless the world with the New Balance 610 silhouette featuring a dominant brown and yellow banana-inspired palette. Evoking the environmental atmosphere of the Pacific Northwest, the archival trail running solution bears a few seldom updates. Iridescent accents illuminate the two-toned upper, while a snow-globe-like aesthetic ascertains the floating banana affixed to the heel.
Elsewhere, dual-branded tongue tabs sit atop the yellow and black mesh base layer, while chocolate brown shades consume the glossy overlays, collar lining, and midsole. Check out images of the upcoming collab below.
Air Jordan 1 Low Sashiko
The Air Jordan 1 Low is the latest Nike silhouette to receive the “Sashiko” treatment. Embodying the Japanese concept of Wabi Sabi, upcoming pairs feature white canvas and distressed denim uppers with exposed stitching stretching over the raw-hemmed overlay panels.
Jordan ball-and-wing logos are embroidered on the heel and black tumbled leathers are used for the lateral Swoosh and heel counter. Cork insoles feature mismatched graphics and debossed Jumpman logos decorate the tongue tab. Rounding out the design are aged midsoles and black rubber outsoles.
